Chinese New Year

Every year from around late January to mid February (dates change every year) you need to head on down to Chinatown for the biggest and best annual Chinese celebration outside of Asia. Sure it’s all about the food, but you also have tons of musical performances, traditional theatre and parades full of floats (anyone order some dragons?).

.

So to be honest Chinatown isn’t actually known for the best Chinese food in London. The traditional food tends to be quite average compared to other more modern restaurants around London, and the staff can be pretty rude. But it’s more about the hustle and bustle, the energy, and the people watching. Our suggestions would be Four Seasons, Leong’s Legend or Plum Valley. Dumplings are the food of choice. And your body weight in crispy duck :) Dress up in your best red outfit (traditionally for good luck) and head on down to Chinatown! Xin Nian Kuai Le!
