Bancone

Hands up who would happily eat pasta every day for the rest of their lives? Yep, thought so. There is something so heavenly about Italian cooking and we can’t get enough of it. Bancone brings the very pinnacle of this cuisine to us with dishes cooked to perfection and flavours that will have you dreaming about them all night long.

On arrival you should absolutely treat yourself to one (or four) of their signature white negronis and get a few of their antipasti - of course the burrata with panzanella and dill is the best of a great selection, plus the soft egg, lemon, bottarga salad is pretty damn good too. But what we’re here for is the PASTA. Beautifully al dente. Rich flavours. There are no bad dishes here. The walnut butter & confit egg yolk silk handkerchiefs have literally won prizes; the fazzoletti duck ragu can stand up to any other ragu in London; and the bucatini cacio e pepe is even better than the one we had in Rome. No kidding.

Get yourself a seat at their counter and you can be sure this will be one of your favourite meals of the year.
